Short & sweet was one of the biggest trends for s/s 2011 and our favourite – daring minis from Marchesa and other designers put the trend for short hems a cut-above – if you have the pins to pull it off. Other trends were Original origami a classic look with modern  intricate twists and artistic folds on classic shaped dresses, Romance – designers showed wedding dresses in layer upon layer of enveloping tulle. A huge trend this season, generous wisps of the ‘light as a feather’ fabric adorned dresses in almost every collection that floated down the catwalk, transparent acres of tulle were everywhere .  Ruffles were big  as was the Trumpet and A-Line shape.
